YouTube Viewers Annoyed by New Features

“To keep it short: the YouTube Messenger feature kind of exposed my YouTube channel and made it public to some of my friends and family. I don’t really mind having a YouTube channel, but I’ve always kept that side of me separate from people I know personally. “I have NO IDEA why youtube changed this. Its a small consistent feature they have always had. As someone who frequently uses it its great. I hate on device notifications interrupting me. But i very regularly check my youtube notification box. Many times i have clicked "notify me" and I see the message within youtube notification. “People who want to know if someone's replied to their comment, or have the bell clicked for certain youtube channels to be explicitly notified that they've uploaded (Because Youtube is insanely inconsistent about notifying you if a channel hasn't had that bell clicked.) They're now getting utterly assblasted with constant notifications of "You have 6 likes" "You have 2 likes" "You have 10 likes" "You have 14 likes"”

Did you figure out how to do this? I don’t see different actions just general notifications (the likes thing is annoying). Thank you.

“YouTube recently added a setting where your account handle and display name gets shared anytime you send someone a link. This setting was defaulted on without adequately informing anyone.
