“I have a JamgHe filament I got (I have limited resources where I'm at) And it came to a point where it was overflowing and curling all my prints So I started to troubleshoot and found that it was an issue of flow ratio. It was set at 1.02 I accidentally put it on 9.8 ... (Please…”

Several posts detail confusion and troubleshooting related to filament flow rates in 3D printing. Users are experimenting with higher flow rates, adjusting settings based on online advice, and seeking clarification on how these adjustments impact print quality and temperature control. Some are also dealing with support structures not adhering properly during prints.

“Printer : ender 3 v2 high flow dual nozzle part cooler with a 5020 fan from artillery genius, sliced creality print. Layer height .12 Speed at around 70. Filament dry and has been swapped into cfs on a creality hi, where prints don't suffer this.…”

“flash forage adventure 5 pro, flash forage burnt titanium pla, .25 nozzle the guide I'm using is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVU5If1VsAM I did the temperature, overall looked best at 220 I did the max volume speed - 10% for 14.13 I did pressure advance, 60mm second 5000 acceleration and came up with between .00 and .01 so I did a second test at .00-.01 with .001 increments, and came out with .002 probably looked the best, but its honestly eye doctor at the end where 1 and 2 look damn nea”

“Has anyone ever tried printing with esun PLA on a high flow nozzle? Does it work? On their website says 250-300mm/s, but they only give info about the A1. I'm using the X2D and with High flow nozzle the inner walls are 600mm/s. Will it work or will I have any issues? submitted by /u/Ill_Lengthiness_6672 [link] [comments]”

“What would ppl recommend to change on the purging volumes to make this even better. Do I increase the purge of just the white? From say 117 to 350 and when going from black to white 406 to 500? Increase the multiplier as well? I have walls inner/outer to help. I have a purge tower and flush into object is off. Pink is not being used in this print. Using a P2S with AMD PRO2. Standard eSun PLA. Slicing through Bambu slicer. submitted by /u/xxjardinexx [link] [comments]”

“How do you currently keep track of how much filament is left on each spool? Do you weigh them? Estimate based on previous prints? Do you use any software? Do you just guess until it ends? I'm specially curious about people with several open spools like me. Has not knowing ever caused you to stop or fail a print? submitted by /u/JoaoFael [link] [comments]”

“I’m really questioning which flow I should use here. It’s currently on 0.94 for the Zero section which I felt was a little too low when I printed with it. This is the orcaslicer YOLO fine calibration. I’m only confused because I’m not sure if I’m supposed to go by the cleanest center or the fullest edges? The edges leave the least gaps on the 0.35 one but the best middle is like maybe .01 or .015? If it helps this is PLA at 220. submitted by /u/tumbledbylife [link] [comments]”

“I'm new to the whole ... adjusting prints. I usually just insert and print, but I'm trying to learn more of the details. Bein' fancy. I am looking into buying ELEGOO's Rapid PLA Plus filament(I need more black filament and it just happened to come up), which says it prints faster? (Save me from this 30 hour print I need like 6,000 of 😂 ) I'm using PrusaSlicer, manually inserted all of the filament details, all that jazz. But now I'm staring at the speed parameters and re”

“TL;DR - What is causing the need to change flow rate to 125% to get normal extrusion on prints with bigger nozzle As the title says, I changed the nozzle on my ender 3 v3 se (first time). I am printing drawers for my organizer from PLA and decided that it would be worth it to switch to a bigger nozzle. I swapped the nozzle from a 0.4mm stock ender nozzle to a unbranded 0.8mm nozzle, adjusted the nozzle size in my slicer (Cura) as well as and increasing printing temperature to around 210°C. My fi”

It was set at 1.02 I accidentally put it on 9.8 ... (Please don't judge me too much) I put a small bookmark to test out... I heard the printer grunting like someone had constipation. Sunlu T3 (ender 3 clone) Nozzle 0.4mm Filament- All of my filaments jamming PETG PLA PLA 220. PETG 245-250 Print speeds have been turned way down. Below 60mm/s. External walls are the highest at 50mm/s. Filaments coming from the dryer at 17%to13% humidity. I just calculated my extruder E-Steps since it's been a while.. And I got 98mm so I had to add a few more st”

“I have an a1 mini and some DEEPLEE PLA Pro, using orca slicer. The "generic pla" filament setting seems to work mostly fine, but not perfect. So I tried tuning my flow rate. Using a model on makerworld I estimated that a .96 flow rate was ideal based on the results. Then I tried the flow rate calibration in orca slicer starting on .96, but ended up on .93 -- that's too low, right? Ran a bridging calibration test but none of the results were acceptable. All had sagging and separatio”

“Hello everyone, I am trying to calibrate my pla filament. I am following Factorian Designs' calibration tutorial. And I am at the max flow rate calibration step. I use Orca Slicers default calibration tools. I know I have high speed filament so I wanted to start the test at lowest: 15 mm/s flow and highest 35mm/s flow. After setting the calibration and slicing I check my print speed and it seem too low to me. The reason is even with default low flow rates (12 mm/s I guess) I was able to prin”

“Turns out, if you run a 1mm nozzle with a 1mm layer height and width, your cubic mm/s is equal to your speed! So, 70mm/s = 70mm3/s! Easy! In related news, I got a 1mm nozzle and having been laying down fat tracks for the last few days. I recently upgraded my Sovol SV08 MAX to the yavoth toolhead which runs an Orbiter 2.5 and a Rapido 2 UHF. I modified it to work with Cartographer and include an X-stop switch and it's been working great. Definitely an order of magnitude more reliable than the”

“We’ve always found flow-rate calibration a bit frustrating, especially when comparing prints from the both New & older Bowden-style X2D and a newer setup. Recently, I came across a small microscope from my daughter’s science kit and tried using it to check some flow-rate test samples. To my surprise, the differences were much easier to see — especially tiny gaps, squeezed lines, rough edges, and uneven extrusion that I would probably miss by eye. Maybe it’s just my 40+ eyes, but magnificatio”

“Im using my schools printer, bambu x1c with a 0.4mm nozzle, PLA. I specifically asked them to do 40mms outer wall and 60mm inner wall speed after searching a bit online and I got back this print. Im not sure what other settings or slicer they used but I have an issue where the pulley grooves are too shallow. Im new to this so if theres any settings i gotta look out for, please let me know so i relay them this info. Thank you very much. submitted by /u/Polarisu_san [link] [comme”

“I keep getting some clogging with PLA lately if its going really slow, really long and its warm in the room. Not really a clog, its fixed by just retracting and extruding two centimeters once, so I suspect its just the slightest ever heat creep. I went to investigate the toolhead and found nothing wrong with it, I can however hear just the slighest crackle coming from the Delta ASB02505SHA-AY6B Fan I have on there. Well it has a Tachometer pin so lets see how quickly it spins at full power. Abou”

“So my phaetus has a 24mm/s3 flow rate, and filament is 18mm/s3. When I print with it I always set it so that it doesn't exceed the filament value. I have my ender 3 set to 4800 accel, 300 velocity. Now I'm seeing online people going and hitting their filaments with higher flow rates to match their extruder. Now I understand temps will go up as well as fan speeds to keep up to match that, but will that filament now be less, I don't know if this is the best way to say it, structurally”
