“If you also want bundle types later, like fixed bundles or mixed-and-match, i’d choose base on that instead of just finding the cheapest BOGO app. FoxSell is worth checking for that since it supports volume bundles alongside fixed and mixed-and-match bundles. Just make sure the…”

“The biggest reasons are developer support. Themes like Reformation have a team of developers behind it and you will get regular updates, fixes, and features. The other benefits are the features that get baked in on day 1 vs you having to either code them yourself or use the assistant to help you. You may not even need a $500 theme. Just look at what each one offers and see if it aligns with what you need. But buy the themes from the Shopify marketplace no matter what you do. Those developer team”

Great, what was good about it?

“I'm curious, what are the best bundle builders you've found for increasing AOV? Not looking for developers to share their builders. Instead, looking for people who've actually boosted revenue and AOV with bundle apps. submitted by /u/josephwesley [link] [comments]”

“This makes sense for Shopify given the scale and complexity of their app, but it's a significant long-term cost shift. Maintaining two native codebases is expensive, yet it removes the dependency on React Native's abstraction layer, which often becomes the bottleneck for performance and platform-specific features. For most teams, RN is still the pragmatic choice, but Shopify's resources and need for deep native integration justify the switch.”

“You may try Radius Bundles. It supports 5 types of bundles, including Mix & Match.”

“Two different things are getting mixed together here, and that's why the app search feels impossible. Pay 2 get 1 free and pay 1 get 1 free are not bundles, they're discounts. Shopify does that natively for free: Discounts, then Create discount, then Buy X get Y. You set the quantity that triggers it and what the customer gets, either free or a percentage off. No app, no order cap, applies automatically at checkout. Actual bundles, meaning several products sold as one item with its own p”

“Hi everyone, Im finalizing my store. Im looking for a (free) app where i can add bundles like: - Pay 2 +1 free - Pay 1 + 1 free - (And discounts) Just a variety op bundle options I see a lot of apps but which one are actually free to use. Not the fake free with 2 orders free and them payment or something lol. submitted by /u/captainmiauw [link] [comments]”

“Have a look at Fast Bundle. It supports mix-and-match bundles, so it should work for letting people pick different sizes, colours and quantities. I’d test it first though, especially if you have a lot of variants.”

r/shopifyAug 22

“A good app with a free plan for this is the bundler: product bundles app. From personal experience, it helps make mixing and matching variants into bundles quite easy.”

r/shopifyAug 14

“custom code is great for simple static offers. but bundle logic becomes messy when inventory, exclusions, quantity breaks, and discounts stacking enter. that's where keeping Foxsell or a dedicated bundle app may be safer”

r/shopifyAug 8

“Full user-level personalization gets complex fast. A simpler middle step is curated bundles based on category or use-case. FoxSell can work for that if you don’t need true AI-level personalization.”

r/shopifyAug 7

“For mobile, keep bundle choices limited. Too many options before add-to-cart kills intent. If you use FoxSell, I’d test the bundle selector on a real phone, not desktop preview.”

r/shopifyAug 7

“If FoxSell is already on your list, I’d judge it less by “can it create bundles” and more by how it handles duplicate rules, sold-out variants, free gifts and rule priority. That’s where complex setups usually fail.”

r/shopifyAug 5

“BEST app depends on whether you want fixed packs or customers picking size/color combos. For custom bundles, check FoxSell / similar apps and make sure the final order still shows the selected variants clearly.”

r/shopifyAug 4

“For linen sizes/colours, native Shopify bundles will hit limits fast. You need something that supports mix-and-match by variant, not just product-level bundles. FoxSell is one I’d compare here.”

r/shopifyAug 4

“foxsell. does the sku split at fulfillment and has all the bundle types, closest thing to what you're describing imo”

r/shopifyAug 3

“The part people underestimate is validation. UI can say pick . Backend still needs to reject pick 5, pick 7, sold out, wrong category, duplicate not allowed, gift without qualifying items etc.”

r/shopifyAug 2

““merchant-editable but not merchant-breakable” is the whole problem. Give them too much freedom and they create invalid boxes. Give them too little and every small change becomes a ticket.”

r/shopifyAug 2

“this is exactly where Foxsell makes sense as a config layer not because of the frontend has to be their default UI, more because the merchant can manage the bundle logic somewhere sane and the dev can spend time making the actual flow match the store”

r/shopifyAug 1

“If merchant needs to edit it, I avoid theme code. If dev is the only person who can change "pick 6" to "pick 8," the setup is already annoying.”

r/shopifyAug 1

“For devs building custom bundle flows, where are you keeping the actual rules? Not talking about a fixed bundle with 3 known products. I mean stuff like: pick 6 items max 2 from one category product A counts as 2 slots hide sold out variants allow duplicates for some products free add-on only after box is full merchant should edit rules without touching theme code Hardcoding this into Liquid feels gross. Metaobjects/metafields feel okay until the rule logic starts getting weird. Custom backend w”

“Great insight! I think the bundle pricing is a good idea. I’ll have to think of a good way to display that without cluttering up the pricing section on the site.”

“I used to think bundles on Shopify were basically a CRO thing. Make a 3-pack, add a small discount, show it on the product page, done. And honestly, for fixed bundles, native Shopify Bundles is fine. Stuff like: ● cleanser + toner + moisturizer ● 3-pack of the same coffee ● t-shirt + socks ● fixed starter kit ● pre-made gift box No huge issue there. Where it started getting annoying was when the bundle became customer-choice based. Something like: “Pick any 3 scents” “Build your own skincare rou”

r/ecommerceJul 22

“whatever you go with, check it does component level inventory or you'll start overselling once volume picks up. that's the one thing that actually bites at scale imo”

r/shopifyJul 21

“Since fast bundle is not avaible on the store, need something urgently. we run a few live bundles so i'm kind of stuck. what's everyone using these days? open to anything that actually works, just need to get bundles back up. submitted by /u/MysticLine [link] [comments]”

r/shopifyJul 21

“I don’t think this has the functionality I mentioned for breaking out individual product SKUs, right?”

r/shopifyJul 20

“Bundles, and it's not close - but with a catch. Site-wide discount codes don't really raise AOV, they lower it; you're discounting stuff people were already going to buy. Bundles work because they add units to the cart instead of cutting margin. The key is the bundle has to remove a decision - a curated "everything you need for X" set converts way better than a random group of products with 10% off.”

Variant combo approach is cursed. Avoid

reddit.comJul 15

“Do not do variants for this. Seriously. You’ll think “oh it’s only 10 products” and then suddenly you add 3 more products and the whole thing becomes a math crime.”

r/ecommerceJul 15

“I just don't want to build the world's dumbest spreadsheet monster inside Shopify. This sentence gave me flashbacks. We had a "choose 4 flavors" thing and tried to manage it manually for a while. Never again.”

r/ecommerceJul 15

“This is app territory imo. Native Shopify Bundles is fine when the contents are fixed. "Pick any 6" is not really fixed. The customer is building the bundle, so you need the selected items to map back to actual SKU's. FoxSell is made for that exact kind of Mix & Match / Build Your Own thing. Not just a discount block.”

r/ecommerceJul 15

“Are you looking to customize the product page of each linen bedding to display a "Buy more save more" option that allows them to add multiple quantities with different variants, sizes and colors? If so, you can checkout the Quantity selector volume discount option in Dealeasy. Or, if you are trying to build a bundle page that allows your users to mix and match from different products, that also can be done using the Dealeasy mix and match bundle.”

r/shopifyJul 14

“For basic bundles I’d keep it native 100%. But for build-your-own-box or mix-and-match, I’d use something actually built for that. FoxSell is one I’ve seen used for this because it handles the bundle experience while still keeping the individual products sane for fulfillment. Wouldn’t bother if the store has no traffic though. At that stage it’s overkill.”

r/shopifyJul 9

“Wouldn’t bother if the store has no traffic though. At that stage it’s overkill. This. People install apps way too early. If nobody is buying the single products, a bundle builder won’t magically fix it. But if you already have traffic and people are buying, then improving the bundle flow can actually matter.”

r/shopifyJul 9

“Native bundles work for fixed kits but the mix-and-match case is where they fall apart. No variant-level control, no real analytics, and the cart behavior gets unpredictable once you layer in other discounts. Fast Bundle handles mix-and-match properly and runs on the Cart Transform API so your existing discounts do not conflict. Analytics are also meaningfully better than native. Already mentioned but worth seconding, it is the most straightforward move from native without needing custom dev wor”

r/shopifyJul 5

“yeah native is really just for basic fixed bundles. the second you need variant level logic or anything custom you're stuck. the analytics part is what got me honestly, running bundles blind is rough.”

+1 foxsell, been fine for us

reddit.comJul 2

“did it need a lot of dev work for the storefront?”

r/shopifyJul 2

“depends what you're optimizing for. bundler and kaching are solid if all you want is quantity breaks, buy more save more type stuff. they don't do a real build your own box though. we compared fast bundles and foxsell, both do mix and match, went foxsell mostly because their team actually helped get it matching our theme instead of looking bolted on.”
